E7 speaker sizes?

I have to pick speakers for my RS-2 which doesnt come with speakers. Does anyone know what size speakers the E7 has? I thought i heard somewhere that it had four 6 3/4in speakers? Is this correct?
thanks, mike

Ya, I acutally posted a thread a while back similar to this one, and I never got a response, so I decided to do some checking on my own.

Considering the Lancer is comparable in body....I'd assume that they probably both have the same speaker sizes.

The Lancer uses 6 1/2's in both front and rear if that gives you any idea. Either way those 6 3/4's should fit with a bit of force.

I've done some checking around too. Most sources say 6 1/2" front and back with a spacer. Which leads me to believe they are actually 6 3/4" I found one source that says 5 1/4" front and back. Another single source says 6 1/2 front 6x9 rear.

So if you find anything definite let us all know. I asked on MLR and they were no help at all.

It can be either 6 1/2" or 6 3/4", it doesn't matter! There is no difference in size of the speaker between the 2 just that the 6 3/4" have a wider drill pattern. I have 6 3/4" Kicker K65.2 Components in my Evo VII and they sound great. But don't think that you are going to be able to buy a speaker and just have it drop in and all the holes line up! I had to re-drill holes for my doors. The rears I left empty because you wouldn't hear them anyway with them being drown out by my box. Also if you look at the specs of those speakers as far as depth and are wanting to put speakers in the doors don't get anything deeper then them. My window barely clears them! Hope this helps

Kicker 65.2 specs

Model K65.2
Woofer (in., cm) 6-1/2, 16.6
Tweeter (in., cm) 1, 2.5
Max Rec Amp Power (watts peak) 150
Max Rec Amp Power (watts RMS) 75
Mounting Hole Diameter (in., cm) 5-11/16, 14.4
Woofer Mounting Depth (in., cm) 2-1/8, 5.39
Tweeter Mounting Depth (in., cm) 1-3/16, 3.0
Sensitivity (dB 1w/1m) 88
Frequency Response(Hz) 33-21k
Crossover Point (Hz) 4.5k
Crossover Slope (dB/octave) 12 hi/6 lo

So it looks like we need a speaker with a depth of 2 1/8" or less.
