When ordering this lower din, is the black one that matches the interior of the OZ?? I know it is more of a graphite color, but a dealer said it was black.....and I want to know before I order one. It is also called a cd changer din kit.

Here are some pics of my stereo in the lower din. I like it alot, it cuts the glare that I got on it when it was in the upper din. Please excuse the dust all over the place. I was out having some fun on gravel/ dirt roads and caught the flu bug before I could clean it up. But I'm all better and gonna shine er up today.

Does anybody know if Mitsubishi the only place to get these lower dins? Im thinking one made out of carbon fiber would look really slick for a grey or black interior.

Does anybody know some place that might sell a carbon fiber lower din, or even somebody that could custom one?

There is some sort of Carbon fiber company link on RRM's website they might but they seem a little expensive.

I'm going to put three gauges in the big gaping hole left by the stereo relocation. I haven't figured out how I'm going to mount the plate though. I'm getting the Autometer Phantom series and the gauges are going to be voltage, oil temp, and oil pressure.

There is a lot of talk the 42 Draft Designs is going to make a custom kit for the EVO...they offer VDO gauges with options on the LED backlights as far as color goes. They are top notch and very fair. I'll let you know when they figure out if they are going to make a custom kit.
