2009 GTS - Replacing amp and sub with aftermarkets?

Has anybody installed an aftermarket amp and sub to replace the 10" Fosgate in the S&S package in the 2008-2009 GTS? I mean not in the same place but just in the trunk with a box. Is there anything speacial with the wiring to the head unit, or just your standart sub out?

Also what is the specs on the amp that is pushing the OEM sub now? I know its not much but could it be used to push the S&S componants instead of the sub?

Thaughts!

Thanks

technically yes, but realistically no. the problem is that the sub amp uses a low pass filter in order to block out the higher frequencies, which is exactly what you would want the comp speakers to play.

the best thing you can do is add an aftermarket four channel amplifier to power the speakers in the car, and still add the new amp and sub in the trunk.
