well, i got my iRock FM Transmitter, and it sucks ***! it works good in my home, and in my garage, but when i go on the road, it gets interfered by everything. I have only driven in residential neighborhoods, so maybe it will be better when i get out on the real road. I'll reply again tomorrow on how it is on the freeway.

well, after some more testing, it's not that bad. it does do it's job, but it still sounds like a radio station that doesnt come in too good. i'm gonna get a fm modulator, hopefully that will work a lot better.

i installed a screen and dvd player in my buddy's 03 accord. he has full navigation with stereo so he was scared to touch it. all we did was buy a BOSS "wireless" fm mod. everything works perfect, and the sound is excellent. the only thing we noticed, is when the motor is running, sometimes there is a slight/hardly noticeable humming sound that comes from the speakers. you cant reall tell though. i think it has something to do with all the electrical systems in the car. anyways if you want, since the lancers are so basic, and easy with stereo.... you can just buy a regular modulator and connect it to your stereo antenna plug, which then splits and re-connects to your stereo. either one works. my buddy's turned out really good. he paid $40 for the wireless, and i think the basic one is like 30-35 bucks.

whoops sorry bro i meant to say BOSS. anyways we picked it up at a local "affordable" sound shop. we picked up our BOSS dvd players for $125, and he bought his screen for $150 w/ tv tuner. the last item he needed was the fm modulator, which he bought for $40. obviously its not expensive so try somewhere affordable... not so high end like alpine kenwood clarion screens/mobile entertainment.

i'm going to bump this post back up. .L. recommended BOSS. Any other recommendations of good sounding FM Modulators? A lot of you have t.v.s in your lancers so you must have a modulator. lemme know what brand you have and how it works. thanks

WOOHOO!!! I just installed it and it sounds great! Better than i was expecting. I haven't driven with it yet, but in the garage it sounds fine. I don't think there would be outside interference while driving since it's wired straight to the antenna. I had that crappy iRock transmitter before this...man that was a piece. Anyway, thanks .L. for the recommendation, and if anyone wants one they're on eBay for $30 shippied.
