If I were you I wouldnt worry about a remote. What are the chances the person has a knife or gun when you come running out after him. Even if you had the same it would cost your thousands of dollars in lawyor/court fee's , not to mention all your time. Let alone that person might take your life.

Just replace your items you lost and be content with that. Your better off than confronting any theif/vandal.

I have also had 4 cars broken into before , one of the was hit 3 times in 2 months, with a total of 6 windsheilds broken. Believe me I know how pissed you get when this happens.

I got a CompuStar two way paging system with remote start, turbo timer, and it pages me if I am 1 1/2 miles away. It costed me more than you are probably looking at ($600.00) but is worth it I think.

The price for that alarm installed would still be in the area of $500. The compustar is the inventor of the two way alarm. The first to use FM to FM transmission and the only one to use Spread Spectrum. The range of the Compustar is untouchable at this point. BTW, Compustar is to asian wolf as Volk is to Rota.

don't care for the remote start

Hey could anyone give me some ideas as to which alarm is good.
As the subject states I don't really care much for the remote start feature, if I get a alarm that has that feature can I just not hook it up and only use the rest of the features?

thanks

DEI 555u. Just connect the red and blue wires to the alarm box and the other ring goes around your ignition. Quite simple, I install them at circuit city.
