Brand New Matrix RSX 3.5! What do you think of it?
Ok so I was bidding on the Matrix RS 3 alarm on Ebay and then decided to go to the www.clifford.com to check out the security system again. Yeah well it turns out that they now have a brand new security system called the Matrix RSX 3.5!!! Looks pretty damn sweet. I mean its almost identical to the last one minus the carbon fiber remote instead of the silver one, and something about a new innovative smaller relay pack (I have no clue of what it is). So I will list all the things it has and I just wanted to know what you guys thought of it. Good or bad?
Looks cool? Should I get it? Also I have a manual and I know the site says that it is for Fuel Injected Automatic vehicles only. I have a manual and I know other people that have manuals with auto start. Is it a pain in the *** to install it on manuals. Obviously I probably just park it in neutral so when the auto start hits it doesnt stall. Yeah any other things you have to say just tell me alright.

Also anyone know someone in the So Cal area that would install this well and cheap. I have a friend but I dont know if he can install it with the whole auto start on a manual thing. Dont know if its hard or not.
Its the same Alarm/Remote start as my Viper. Good 2 way unit. It was fairly straight forward with installing. Most places wioll charge you an arm and a leg to install an alarm not purchased from them though. And some want touch it if they don't sell it.

yes the viper and the clifford are the same thing, both made by dei. I love this alarm, in fact I'm going to get it sometime this month, saw it at best buy and loved the carbon fiber remote. One thing the guy there told me is that the remote eats batteries like crazy
Mr decibel did you have trouble on install because yours is manual??? Im a security system newbie so Im not sure if its any harder. Or do you just always park your car in neutral???
I always park my car in neutral. Plus with the builtin TT it makes it easire to remember to put it in neutral. I have installed over 100 alarms in my career, this was no different than the rest. It will probably take you all day. WHen you are ready to install it, let me know. I can help you prepare it on the bench so that under-dash time is to a minimal.
Sounds good. I love installing my own stuff. Give sme a challenege and the nits always cool to help ouit other people when you know a few things. I will definately give you a pm when i am going to install it. Thanks a lot

Almost identical. I think the only difference is the remote. Viper it has a blue remote with green saying viper on top. Clifford is Carbon fiber remote. Clifford is like 20 bucks more I think. But then again that is a lot thinks huh?
