Red face box stuffing

I need some techie help here. I have a bandpass box with subs in a plexiglass enclosure facing down. It causes some distortion, so I asked a guy and he said to add some stuffing. I did and now there is hardly any bass hitting. How much and what is your recomendation to my stuffing prob. Thanks

Have a look at your online owner's manual. Maybe you'll find the answer.

well the purpose of the stuffing is to make the sub act like its in a bigger box. it slows down the sound waves a little so if you add too much you won't get and kick from the sub...it will just sound like muffeled bass...there are like calulations for the right amound of stuffing...but your best bet is trial and error....what ever sounds good to you....but...you don't need a lot..actually only a very small amount.
