so i want some new speakers when i decide to get me some subs....but i was wondering...how can i tell if i have 4 or 6 speakers?? i bought the car from a dealer and it didn't say anywhere...is there somewhere i can look or what? plz help!

try crutchfield.com. They have info for almost all cars.

 

The normal lancer has 6.5 inch speakers in the rear deck and in each front door. that is 4 speakers. If you have tweeters in the A pillars then that is 6 speakers. if you have 4 speakers get 4 of the same speakers . if you have 6 stock speakers have the front set be separates (separate tweeter and woofer) and the rear a 2 way speaker that can keep up with the front ok. or just do what I did!! :-)

 

The normal 02 lancer has 4 speakers. I believe that the upgraded stereo had 6 speakers. 4 regular and 2 tweets in the a pillars. Depending on what you have you should buy 4 of the same speakers. or buy separates for the front (separate tweeter and woofer) and then buy a pair of coaxials for the rear, or do what i did to my A pillars
