2009 Lancer ES stock audio

I just recently got a 2009 lancer es (2 weeks ago), and I love everything about the car, except the stock audio. I only recently discovered that it came with the aux inputs so I am not super worried about replacing the headunit itself yet, but more of the speakers.

So I have a couple of questions that I could not find information on elsewhere.

I know in the trunk there is a wire harness, assuming for the RF system that did not come in my car. If I connect the fuse in the fuse box (I believe it showed one that was not present for audio?) would I be able to use it for power and audio, and in the dash connect the other end to the proper channels, and somewhere using a line converter? My sub is a 10" JL 10W3v3-2 sub and the amp is a Alpine MRP-M350. Based of the specs I believe that I could use the original wiring harness in the back.

I know that the RF system also has an amp under the drivers seat, if im remembering correctly. Does anyone know if the other models, specifically ES is pre-wired for that amp? Because I do know that I will probably have to use an amp if i keep the stock headunit for a while with aftermarket speakers.

One last question. Does anyone know what size speakers will fit best in the front and back?

THANKS

you cant use factory hookups with aftermarket amps, because its a CANBUS system. basically, there is no remote wire to turn the stock amp on, its more like a data wire. you would be better off running a dedicated set of wires for the amp. would you really want to use that small, crappy wiring to power an alpine/JL system anyways? also, 6.5" speakers all around, but to fit them, you will need a spacer between the door and speaker.

Well, I am only planning on keeping this car for about 2 years, and then trading it in after I get a good paying job once I am done with school for a similar car but new with all of the features stock. It was bought used (was leased prior by the dealer and has less then 20k miles on it).
Honestly, I would prefer not having to pull wires to the back if I absolutely do not have to. The amp and sub that I have should be comparable to the stock, power wise, do I do not see why I cant use the wiring.

I kind of figured I would need a spacer, so thats not a problem. Do you know if the car comes prewired for the amp that would of been under the seat? Thats the only other thing, is that when I replace the speakers, I probably will need more power for them.

man, a 10" W3 and alpine amp are more powerful than stock RF crap. not sure if the car is prewired, just take a look under your seat one day. but if you dont have the RF system, the wires that are there (if any) probably dont have any power going to them anyways. do it right.

I understand. I looked under the seat and I couldn't really tell if it was or was not. What would be the easiest way then to get my subwoofer powered and working in the trunk with the less amount of work and wiring pulling possible? Again, I also do not want to replace the headunit at this point because I will be getting a new car in like 2 years anyways, and at that point I may just get the RF upgrade anyways then. Not that it matters, but for me sound quality is whats important, not how loud they are. As far as power, I know that there is a spot in the fuse box for some other kind of audio (as the fuse is not there)?

Alright, I just installed a set of Alpine SPS-610C and SPS-610 (LOLS crutchfield said that the tweeter would hit the grill on the 610, but I put it in and theres like 2" to spare, lol) and they sound amazing, even know I am using the stock radio and no amp at the moment. Does anyone know the easiest way to get power in my trunk? My old saturn was simple, but this new car, im not so sure. Also, does anyone know if the wires were pulled for the amp? Like how in the trunk there was the wired pulled from the stock sub.

ok - little tipsy right now so excuse my wetawdedness

If the OP taps the rear speaker wires, and runs to an L.O.C., he could run an amp, no? Provided he runs the amp wiring, etc.
