hmmm,im gonna have to burst some peoples bubbles here...
im not a kenwood fan at all,ive owed a few sets and man they stunk!! now the focals are sweet and id agree with the one that said to put same in rear deck.... but ehres another buster for you,why did you go with componet set? there a money trap, you can get just the same imagining with a 2 or 3 way system, just what ive been told, makes sense if you think about it...distance between midbass and tweeter..personally,im a MB QUART man!!
the system im putting into the lancer now is the following:
alpine cd player,fosgate 300ix 4 channel amp
planet audio amp to run my punch hx12's.....and of course, the ole mb's.....but like all things ,its open to change, might opt for a new bd1000 and focal's...dunno yet..
my .02's

the real answer is what do you want.............. you want to make sure you get speakers that are rated for your stereo.... you definately do not want to over drive your speakers, but you equally do not want to under drive them. you can have one set of speakers that sound good with a particular head unit and f**king awesome or like crap with another.

suggest sticking with known reputable brands and NEVER buy a box set. this is a companies way if getting rid of excess invetory. they are ok, but you can get a much better system for just a few bucks more........

I dont get one lick of your post. Its easy to match the speaker system with their sensitivity rating. If you are driving off a stock HU you want a system with a high sensitivity 92db at 1 watt and 1 meter and up. If you have a good clean 25 watt per channel + amp then it doesnt matter. FWIW never go by the "Power handeling" of a speaker there is no constants there and I always overdrive speakers with no problems as long as its good clean power. I almost always run 200+ watts per channel up front.

What do you mean by box sets?

Why not leave them empty? disconnect what ya got in there and rock. If not I would think the "perfect" match would either be The sparkomatic or maybe just another Focal! Focals kick ***, thats what my system is in my 525. Focal all the way around with a momo sub, two 2ch opti drives and a Nak H/U. pimp juice. sounds better than my lancer.
