DILEMMA- need more bass!!!!!

Hey, I have a 2000W amp. I have two 10's that are not cutting it. I was wondering if I should buy a pair of 15s off of ebay, and sell the two 10s I have or just buy some more 10s and do that. I was wondering if any of you have an idea of what I should do? (also, have any of you heard of VOLFENHAG subs, I lookin' at their new 15's. I was wondering if they are good.)

You're kidding right? What kind of sub and what kind of amp are you running at the moment?

I've looked at VOLFENHAG a few times but never baught any. I just thaught their watts rating was just too high for the price they are selling them. Kinda looks like a rip off to me. But who knows, maybe somebody else has any experience with those subs

My amp, is top of the line. I was just wondering how I should get more bass. I have two JBL 10s right now, they just totally are not showing the power of my amp. I was wondering if anything will make it sound better

which way our your subs pointing??

if they are pointing to the Rear of the car, you'll get a bigger hit, but if they are pointed towards the cab, u get a crisper sound

they are facing in, but I just need more bass. I wanna get new subs. Heck, if I *do* (hehehe) get 2 to 4 15's where would i stick them? I had a few ideas about mounting them to the trunk floor, thus raising the floor and placing plexi over them for protection. but you think the 15s will work?

Just to let u know... BOSS isnt exactly top of the line, in fact it's exactly opposite. Like many have said before, I can get a Lanzar 10,000 watt amp and it will get it's butt ROYALLY kicked by a JL 1000.1 (something that runs only 10% of the bigger amp's power).

I agree with you. I was just looking at some BOSS chaos amps, and the most expensive one I saw $199.99. Now I paid $299 for a 600 watt amp pushing a single 12 in sub and it puts out enough bass. I think you need to start new and get quality over quanity.

Like the guy said get a QUALITY AMP. BOSS IS NOT ! Go to a sound comp and tell me how many people you see running BOSS! If you want opinions were giving you some. I have 1 10" sub in a box built specificly for it and it hit just as hard in my car as my buddies box with 2 12's in it. SAME amp and all. QUALITY, BOX Design, then wiring.... No way around it.

People tend to forget that the BOX That the subs are in play a MAJOR role in producing bass (80% relies on the box). A custom sealed box can do wonders to your subwoofers, if you get the specs of the box to match the specs the subs need. The airspace requirement, volume (size), port locations and their sizes and depths. All those factors can change the attributes of your sound.

put it this way, i have 1 mtx thunder 280 amp running 2 cheap *** powerbase 15's, subs were 50 bucks a piece, i put time into making the box perfect to spec. sealed. and lemme tell you in my explorer it will pound your head off, even the shop that sold me the subs were in amazement by how deep and low i got those cheap *** subs...honestly it hits and goes lower than when i had my exp hatchback with 4 kicker 12's....and thats 75 quality watts to each sub with a well built box and good wires...
