How to add a second amp to lancer with the Fosgate system

Hey everyone! Im trying to install a second amp to my lancer separate for a sub but I do not know how to wire the signal for the amp to the car that already has the Rockford Fosgate system... Id like to keep the current amp underneath the seat for the door speakers, can anyone help me??

You could get a lc6i or lc2i (look it up). It taps into either the sub wires in your trunk if adding just a sub. Or your rear speaker wires if adding more speakers (rear speakers also work for hooking up a sub). From the lc6i you can then run RCA cables to your second amp.
Or you could buy any random line output converter at 1/4 of the cost, but the sound quality won't be there. (not recommended)

If you knew what you were talking about you wouldn't say that. The lc6i is a good product. It converts the signal from speakers into a clean signal for a amp.

Heebs, you should never run the RCA's off the back speakers! EVER, i worked at a car audio install place and was a electrican in the Navy, i can tell you, say if you have a 4 rear speakers and you want to put an amp on it, then you would do it all behind the radio clean install and you mazimize you power output.

Yes agreed. But, i didn't recommend to wire rca's to the rear speakers. With the product (lc2i) you tap into the rear speakers and run those wires to the lc2i. Then you connect the rca's to the lc2i. It gives a clean signal to the amp. It has a sub output and output for speakers.
Its a very simple way to add a amp without having a new head unit.
And you are able to keep all the stereo controls on the stock head unit(bass, treble, fader, balance)

Why doesn't someone make something that plugs into the stock amp harness, and then somehow RCA cables and a remote wire come out? (dreaming)?? lol
Seems like all the needed info/signal and what not would be there?

How would you go about replacing the amp on the stock head unit. Leaving all the stock wiring(except power and ground), and still have the sub control/bass/treble and steering wheel controls.
Id love to do that but i just don't know how.
There must be wires that act like RCA cables running from head unit to amp?

Sorry to bring up an old thread but I'm a little confused on this LC2i device (and maybe even how the wiring in my car is, I'm basing the attached diagram off all assumption and haven't actually looked at any of my wiring). Attached is a picture showing what I believe the wiring diagram looks like. Now my question is does the LC2i device tap into spot 1 or spot 2 (spot 1 being the left arrow and spot 2 being the right arrow for some reason the text there didn't save).

It's the stock navigation system. No there is no RCA's in any part of the system.
