Okay so I'll be honest I sell Mitsubishis and love my lancer but if you don't have the Fosgate system the audio system lacks tremendously. My question is can you add a 4 channel amp to the factory radio so I can keep my steering wheel controls looking to add a nice set of component speakers up front and some replacements for rear. I know they make adapters for your steering wheel controls but if I can just use an amp with factory radio I have no use for a aftermarket deck. If this is possible what do I need as far as parts go.

 

It's possible. You just need an amp that accepts high (speaker) level inputs and has a signal sensing turn on. Then you just tap into the speaker wires (before they get to the speakers) and run them to the amp, then run new speaker wires to wherever you want to install the new speakers.
