ALPINE or JBL?

Ok so i was thinking about getting a whole Alpine amps set up. 4 or 2ch for my speakers and a Class D for my sub.. But i was talking to an installer i know and he was saying that Alpine V12 digital amps are prone to problems. He was also saying that JBL are alot better than Alpine.. Which would you choose APLINE V12 Series or JBL Power Series. (also, he was saying that they're GTI series was better but they only have one amp for that series)

Heres a poll .. Thanks

i like JBL over Alpine. They both make quality products but JBL has much better pricing.

O yeah is the Power series there best series.. like i siad i heard GTI was but i only saw one amp for that series.. thanks.. Oh, BTW reason im choosing these two is because i want to keep most of my stuff the same.. i have a Alpine H/U and Infinity speakers/ sub. Well soon. and i either want to got half and half or basically all infinity ( Harmon makes both infinity and JBL) Thanks

not worried about price as much as quality, clean sound, power, and reliability.

that's what im saying, they both are quality products..but actually i'd take a JBL amp over an Alpine. Many experienced car audio guys prefer JBL over alpine too. Don't ask me why, I really don't know. Just saying that alpine prices an amp too high for a product that has the same sound quality as soem JBL amp.

i heard that in 4ch amps alpine cant be beat for sound quality, and that they will give you the cleanest sound possible. Will the JBL's do this as well? Also, is the power series the best to get a amp that will do 50 or above RMS x4 @ 4Ohms and sbout 300 RMSx1 @ 2Ohms or 4 actually

i dont think jbl is junk, i have a 1200.2 and its awesome. im pushing 2 infinity perfect subs, and it destroys my car. and its really clean too, there is no distortion until extreme volume levels (past 27 on my alpine head), but by then its just too ******* loud anyway.

Alpine is really overrated. I replace a ton of broken Alpine products at my shop. JL isn't the best either. But it is better than Alpine and JBL. And I agree with your installer that the JBL will hold up better than the Alpine.

ok let me give you an installers veiw, i have installed all 3 types of amps, jbl amps are extremly clean and diffantly have the bang for the buck. Alpine are and always have been one of the cleanest in the game i have an expert series 4 channel 400x4 that is 5 years old and still beats. as for JL if your spending that kind of cash go MTX. Mtx is cleaner has unrated power has set IASCA records the last 4 years in a row. I personally go mtx with all my equipment, my other install runs JBL gti in his wifes car that beat and i put MTX/Alpine in my little brothers car.
