I've seen it before. I played with it at BestBuy. It looks flashy but its really crap. Sure the resolution of the screen is good but its wicked slow. It runs very choppy. And the cd player has a tray that comes out! wtf is that? i dont want a tray poppin out of my cd player. the only cool thing it has is a built in 10gb hard drive.. so you can rip your cd's right to it and play them back. its defenitly not worth what it costs.

 

It is a total waste of money. $1000 will be you a nice system and still have some money left over to buy more stuff for your car.

lol, thats funny dude.. everyone is bashing you in this thread, aren't they? damn, i think what everyone is getting at is... "I wouldn't install that P.O.S. in my car even if it was free" but if you are the one person who stands out from the crowd and wants it, go for it. when i get stuck in a situation like you are in, i just say, "i have the right idea and everyone else is just ****ed up."

investing in a h.u. is all about what kinda person you are. Me I won't swap the stock one till I can afford a dvd player and the appropriate lcd's. for 1g I could build a portable pc that has 80gb hard drive for storing videos, mp3's anything you want, and still have spare cash to run an amp a sub, and drop in 1 possibly 2 lcd's to watch it all on. but a h.u. that plays graphics on a 1 din slot seems like a waste. why not get an lcd in the steering wheel and then get on the highway, turn the lights off and let go while you watch reservoir dogs on dvd, same result on an accelerated timetable. oh yeah, to the guy who started this thread. ne ways, i was lookin at a local store called custom sounds and they have this badass dvd/cd player and monitor that im thinkin bout gettin, mebbe even a couple of monitors in the headrests for all my baby mommas, lol

 

ok first sony sucks for all car audio sure it looks good but it stops there get a pioneer they are 1 of the best and they look cool

the 8400 id great but i still say its not worth 550
so if you aint gettin it under 400 i say dun get it.
