Error DC - help me locate the problem?
Hey all,
I recently purchased a 09 lancer gts, my radio works for like a minute until it all shuts off and my radio reads error DC. I did a little research and I guess this is a speaker wire grounded somewhere? Anyways I have my seat out and everything on the amp looks good. I don't know where to go from here or how I can find the problem wire. Can anyone point me in the right direction or is willing to work with me to find it? If I can't fix it this weekend I'll take it to an audio shop but I'd prefer to do it myself.
Thanks

There are no recurring bad wire/shorted speaker issues that I am aware of.
So... Unless you are willing to pull each door panel and test for ground at each speaker wire - it is now time for the audio shop to troubleshoot it. The dealership can't help.
OR consider just buying the aftermarket headunit and sub with new speakers (with a warranty now) offset by the cost of the shop to troubleshoot and fix the OEM system, eh?
