The higher the voltage for the pre out, the cleaner the music will sound.
The sky is the limit with speakers, you can spend 30 bucks on some speakers, or 2000 bucks on a killer component set.
Crutchfield.com, look it up it will explain the basics to you

On the head unit, what type of sound are you after?
Something that sounds clean and loud ?
Or you wanna be heard blocks away ?

go to crutchfield.com enter your car info and everything that fits your car will pop up. You can look for the same parts on ebay or bestbuy sometimes their a little less price wise or just buy from crutchfield.

Depends on how much you are willing to pay , in my opinion pioneer deh80prs for about 350 will give you the best sound quality , its audiophile components with Mosfet . I would highly recommend getting new speakers and dynamat the doors . For about 350 you will not find a better single din receiver then this one .
