has anyone on here ever cut their factory dash to fit a aftermarket radio? instead of buying one. why waste the money if you can cut the dash ? I have a 2011 lancer stock dash I feel like cutting it instead of buying a new dash to install my new Aftermarket radio.

 

Not worth the effort. It is not enough to dremel out the square opening - the 'top' portion has to also bulge out (best I can describe it). Look at pictures side-by-side to see what I mean...


A dash kit is so cheap.
