2003 ES speaker replacement
2003 ES speaker replacement
Have been told they are 6.5" but adapters will be needed. Have heard a 6 3/4" may fit.
Also have the panels off already.
Lf wires are red w/ white stripe and red with a blue stripe.... which is positive, and which is negative?
Rf wires are solid green and solid red. Same thing, which is positive, which is negative?
OEM speaker says 4 ohm
My headunit can support up to 30 watts per channel, but not sure if it is 4 ohm stable?
LF speaker is dead, that is why I am replacing. Plugging the RF speaker into the L door, and that works fines. L speaker in R door, and nothing. So LF speaker is definitely just dead.

Yeah you definitly need adapter to put speaker. Some speakers come with bracket that fit the oem hole wich are 6 3/4'' to install 6.5'' speakers. You can determine polarity by doing the 9v test :
