DVD MP3 head units?

I know that there are a number of DVD head units that don't have screens, but AFAIK they are intended for use with an external screen and the DVD drive is used only for playing DVD movies. If you want to play MP3's, they have to be burned to a CD-R and not a DVD+-R. Does anyone know of a head unit on the market that can read MP3's burned onto a DVD-R/DVD+R? While 680 megs of MP3's is nice, 4.7 gigs of MP3's would be even better. The first company to come up with this will render all hard drive based players obsolete.

My second dream feature is bluetooth, for cell phone integration. Again, anyone know of a head unit out there with this feature?

Thanks..

if you want that much space you are better off to use a IPOD and hook it up through an input. Several gigs and a much faster search then

Yeah, yeah, and I know that Alpine is coming up with an iPod interface. I just don't want cords and other crap in my car.. the slick head unit is what I want. Thanks anyway.

As of right now they don't make what you are asking for but I am sure that they will in do time. In this case you should look at the cd players that have the integrated harddrive in them. Sony makes them and they work very well.

Yeah, I had the Pioneer DEH-P90HDD which is similar to the Sony MEX-1HD. It was a great unit but still a pain in the ***.. since they both use integrated CDDB databases for track title info, it's a constant hassle to keep them updated. Also, my pioneer was stolen so I'm using this as an excuse to find something better. My stock radio is just fine for now.

I'd like to know if you could burn MP3's on DVD's too. I'd be more excited about burning music videos on DVD instead . Can anyone confirm their DVD-players can play burnt DVD's?
