I did one search and got one result. Perhaps you didn't try very hard.

Yes I am... I would never dispute that I suck at spelling but hey at least people know what I'm talkin about most of the time. And thanks for that other thread not sure why I couldn't find it but oh well its old this one is newer so just roll with it.

I am very suprised at the number of votes for pioneer/premier not saying they are a bad company because for their price range they are darn good but if your not on a tight budget I would have thought more people would have voted for more of the expensive brand names.

Im votng Kenwood Least expencive great 2 year warrenty on the excelon stuff and the least expencive dual 24 bit DACs around.. if you dont know what that is its a Digital Audio Converter (makes the music sound better then the good ol 1 bits most Cd players come with. Also im biast because its what im running now. Other than that the only other decks Id personally recommend on the list are Eclipse for similar reasons GREAT SOUND quality!

cool deal I saw a kenwood sponcered civic with 6 12" subs and 4 1000 watt amps looked pretty tight didn't get to hear it though....

kenwood and pioneer are both good buys for the money for sure but I still think eclipse is worth the extra couple bucks

Alpine, or Eclipse. Tough choice between the two.

i have always been a panasonic person but pioneer is a very good choice for the money. pioneer is very simple to use but it still does all the things that any other cd player can do and sometimes more.

"best" is too subjective. you've got best looking, best features, best pricing, best quality, etc etc.

in any case, the best all around has got to be premier. for the price/quality/looks/features, its hard to beat. for the best sound quality overall, hank pretty much nailed it. EDIT: a close second behind premier is most definitely excelon. honestly these two change leads depending on the model.

Other than Digital systems like the Alpine 7990 (F1) or the Premier DEX-P9, Eclipse is the best head unit on the market. Best warranty, Theft replacement and no other manufacturer reads the entire disk. The standard is 3 of the 5 data sectors, some units read 4, but even the cheapest Eclipse reads all 5. That and better preamps is why they sound better.

DAC is not digital audio converter, it is digital to analog converter. minor point, but if your going to tell people what it is, tell it right. kinda like how kenwood is the "best" option

still voting alpine for best deck. biased? no. cause i have a clarion, had an eclispse, had a sony (first cd player...), pioneer premier... and still never had an alpine. just was the salesperson for them. hehe.... i have had the opertunity to use them in many different vehicles and i like em.
