Oh you are talking about a radio. I only saw "good head" and got all excited. Damn what a let down. Oh well, in any case I really like the sony headunits.

I love Pioneer, just cause Ive never had problems with them.

I've always used pioneer's, never had a problem with them..plus I like their styling the best

Panasonic MXE CQ-HX2083U and
Sony MEX-5DI

But either one costs tons of $$$$$

 

I just bought a JVC KD-LH2000 which I'm excited about (have to wait until mid-July to hear it though...) so I voted with them. I was always a Blau fan until Sony bought them. I'm not a Sony fan - I prefer my electronics to function and Sony products in every electronics division they have have failed me miserably.

When selecting the JVC, I was also considering a Pioneer and a Kenwood. Ultimately, I picked based on the features I would get the most use out of, like 3 sets of preamp outputs and decent controls. I'd suggest you decide based on the same. Sony I hear horror stories about, but the other 3 all seem pretty reputable/reliable from my knowledge. Granted, this is only as a general rule - pick a price range or a most likely model from each manufacturer and you'll get more specific help with what ones are better.

Hahhaa........I was gonna get the KDLH 2000 too........I was gonna get it cheaper than the $379 though, my friend's shop sells it, but I think I might just go to Best Buy, my friend works there and I can get things at cost

 

I got mine for $230 straight from JVC. ;-)

jvc and sony shouldn't even be on a "best" poll. there are tons of other brands out there that are much better.

i'm a fan of pioneer and kenwood. excelon is freaking great for the price too.

 

I agree with the post about sony not being on the list at all. I swear by Alpine myself.
