Piggy Back

yes i did a search and i did not find the answer i was looking for. my next mod is going to be a piggy and i'm trying to learn more about how they work and how to install them. my question is, will the piggy through the CEL light on a 03 oz rally. i know that it WILL NOT through the light on the later (04 model) lancers. so any lancer owners with a piggy chime in an tell me if you CEL is on. thanks and my car is a 03 0Z Rally manual, thanks for the help.

I ve got CEL. 03 lancer ES auto................came on in about 10 miles with it in. Also, the 02-03 guys seem to be the ones that get a rough idle, rrm can mostly fix that but u sacrafice power for a smoother idle, but if you get the software u can get the best of both worlds. Over all, it is a great product.

I did have it on mine and it never threw a code!!!!!! I went turbo'd and took it off. But im going to put it back on and retune it with the software. I have a 03 oz rally manual. Its a good mod.

Can RRM tune it for you so the rough ilde is out i rather have the smoth idle and have the little power increase.

Yes, but from experience when you get it back tuned with a less rough of an idle there will be a pretty major power decrease. (atleast I experienced this). But if you want a smoother idle(its still not perfect but better) you have to be willing to sacrafice a good amount of power. Btw i dont know if rrm is still taking back the piggys to tune them now that they have the software out but call and check with them.
