take your foot off the gas between shifts. it's over reving since the auto tranny shifts rather slow when it comes to high RPM's. my brother used too have 2 lancers, 1 auto the other 5spd. he used to have the same problem in the auto. when he layed off the gas at redline it would shift smoother and 90% of the time, NOT over-rev. it's more tranny friendly.

Should i do the ECU reset even when you install a short ram intake? When i installed this i didnt disconnect anything.

So I take it there's no way to adjust the shift curves other than resetting the battery and letting the ECU do it?

When I asked the dealership they looked at me like I had a crackpipe in my mouth. The guys at RoadRace turned me onto the battery disconnect....didn't know if there was a laptop control piggyback module that could do something different...
