Smooth idle map & question

Smooth idle map & question
Can someone please post the smooth idle map, I am really getting tired of the bumpy idle, its getting quite annoying. Also, is it safe the flash it while its hooked to the car? any issues or things I should not do or do? disconnect the battery and relearn of course but anything else? thanks.

already tried it, its about the same for me, so I want to give the smooth idle map a try. I have already reset several times now and it gradually gets worse over the first few days and settles down to be really rough with CEL. I tried raising the idle and the misfires are even more apparent and still drops down to 2-300 RPMS quite often, pretty much any time I am stopped for more than 20-30 seconds.

) I have the software and the map but unfortunantly no laptop to hook it up right now and give you the map, it would probably be faster to get it through rrm. Anyways, good luck with that and let us know how it goes.

it depends really, its changes all the time. I had it for a week, and reset it again and there was gobs of power and not that bad of an idle, then about 50 miles in, rough idle out the *** and CEL came on, now thepower is going away again.
I have had the issue with rolling and stuttering too, very annoying in traffic or trying to creep at lights. sometimes its fine, but I would say 80-90% of the time when I let of the gas its bump bump bump stutter bump forward, I miss my smooth idle but I like the power, we need to find a good solution to this.
I was wondering, if I tune the piggy myself on a dyno with wideband etc, if I set all the settings to 10 where they should be, will I still have a rough idle? or does this only happen as you tune? Because I think I would have better gains if I tune for exactly what I have. just curious if anyone has tried this with there own maps.

Same problems with the PBV2, here. The idle was said to even out after about 100-200 miles; 600 miles later, i unhooked it. I wanted to make a custom map, haven't got around to it.
At stop the thing was rattleing crazy. I then used 93 octane. Then it would idle smooth untill i sat at the red light for a few secound and it would come back. Also, slowing down it seemed to "lurch" forward. After uninstall, it ran better.

got some kinda bad news everyone... So far ive put about 300 or so miles using 92 octane and the rougher idle map. Nevertheless , the misfiring is still an amazing amount less than either the rougher map without 92 octane or the smoother map with 89. just wanted to let you guys know. Oh and the "lurching" foward is because of the misfiring,its almost like pressing and depressing the accelerator but just a small amount.

yeah, doing the same with me, but when the idle gets rough, it is still really bad. we need to find some way to get this working so we do not have to deal with this. I keep hearing that it is because the processor takes time to do the calculations, but I can build a 486 pc that can take in an inupt run it through a conversion tabe, and output it without any hesitation so this is why I am so confused as to why we are getting this delay and only sometimes. I love the gains but the CEL bugs the crap out of me and the idle is very very annoying.

Boe just alerted me to this page. We created the above page to help guide folks about the piggy. It is important to remember to save original maps before doing any changes. As for idle issue on 03s there is a simple thing to do. In the settings where it says "over volts", that number can be changed to as low as 0.8 to minimize idle issues. Also idle can be raised to compensate. But the range of 0.8 to 3.4 in that box can greatly affect things. Good idle is the lower number, greater response would be higher number like 3.4. Use the same map just make sure all setting are correct as shown on that page then play with just that parameter (over volts)

I am having an issue adjusting my idle because it does make a difference when I can get it to stay idling higher. I've counted my turns so that I can return it to regualr if needed, but I've turned that damn screw both ways 4 times and idle remains between 500-700 until i get the rough idle then it dipps to 200-300 and back up to 1000 and then goes back to 5-700. I know I am adjusting the idle screw but this is at idle with no other accessroies on, what am I doing wrong? how come the idle will not go up? thanks for any help you can provide.

did an experiment today and did a mix of 100 octane and 93 proportionately to get around 97/98 octane mix, shortly after doing this, CEL went off and the chatter while barely moving is gone, rough idle is still there but it seems to be alot more tolerable now. I tried this thinking if 93 was helping, what would a higher octane do and bam. so im going to finish off this tank and see how it goes, I do not plan on running this stuff for long because it is expensive, just thought I would test for the sake of being a good member.
