SAFC Harness

So i have my wideband on order, got the AEM UEGO. I am putting in the SAFC neo too in a month or so but i really dont want to put 100 wiretaps on my factor ecu wiring incase i ever take the stuff out, sooo, i see there is an EVO harness out there that could be used on evo's in between the stock harness and the ecu so you just tap into those, plug it in, and its good to go. Could this harness be used for the Manual 02-03 lancers as well? A quick visual inpection of the pictures i could find looked like they both had the same number of ports in the same places, obviously the wires are different but that shouldnt matter if its just a jumper in between the factory harness and the ecu. If that should work then the price alone is worth not having 100s of wiretaps and cuts in the factory harness...

the boomslang is like 140 bucks, the evo harness you can get on ebay for like 80 bucks. I dont mind doing splicing and soldering, but i'd rather so it on an extension harness that i just plug in rather than the factory harness

i was exaggerating, but still, its a lot of unnecessary clutter without a jumper harness

Bump? Or better yet anyone have a diagram of the evo ecu harness vs the manual 02-03 lancer? In the SAFC install thread i see the diagram for the auto but for the manual they just have a picture. I'm lookin more for a total pinout list and diagram for both the evo and lancer. If its a matter of cutting and rerouting a few wires in the boomslang type harness thats fine by me, still worth the 70 bucks

Well after some more searching i'm now 90 percent sure that the EVO/2g DSM/and Manual 02-03 lancers use the same Wiring harness and pinouts. the M3-a harness. So it should be plug and play. So everyone write that down for future reference

Yeah, after writing my last response i printed out a copy of the wiring harness from road race engineering's site for the evo and compared the wiring for the SAFC to the ecu pinouts on the manual lancer. All of the SAFC wiring is in the same places as the evo so its 100 percent positive, the EVO ecu adapter will work for the manual lancers and the 2nd generation DSMs

Hrm. Looking through the manual I have (a couple years old,) my best bet would be that an auto lancer 05 es would use the m3-a harness as well. It is listed in their manual under the evo VII though, I'm awfully confused. It wouldn'tb e too bad just to solder everything I suppose, but I'd like to know for sure if it would work on my es.

Get ECU pinout diagrams. As long as the boomslang harness is 1 to 1, meaning pin x on the IN side goes to pin x on the ECU side for all of the pins then all you have to do is make sure the wires used for the safc are the same location for both harnesses. Sounds confusing
