SAFC. whos using it to tune na?

working on tuning the lancer with the safc.

who has tuning points and tips for tuning with it?
i found an old post by maximum17... hes running super lean im thinkin i dont want to even cme close to his map.. so pehaps ill cut 2/3 of his points on each rpm point.

at what point is higher octane needed?

thanks guys!

Just start subtracting. No one will have the points that work for you. I have a 190 pump and a fuel pressure regulator but no gauge (beats me what the actual pressure is but it works so..) and the MAS screw is backed out pretty far on mine + no cats.

On the much maligned narrowband I have it so I am in the yellow on cruising and 1-2 bars green WOT. I pull 33mpg with this setup on a 5spd. I also have an EGT which at 75-80mph (cruising speed on the way to work) is a hair below 1300 degrees.

EDIT: I still use 87 octane too. You'll notice the car wakes up the more you subtract too.

The narrowband will read lean. Subtract until it reads in the high yellow while cruising and a bar or two green under WOT. There is no magic number. Mine change from summer to winter.
