Question injector compatability...

I searched on the mirage site and found that galant injectors will work on the 02 03 lancers but i don't know what year they have to be from. I read that certain years/trims have a lower impedance which will fry your ecu. Anyone got any info on this?

If you're talking about the 4 cylinder previous generation Galants, then yes. You should be able to swap the injectors if I remember correctly. The 4g64 high impedence injectors should be a direct swap, but I don't know if the ECU will understand what's going on without a piggyback or some other fuel controller.

oh yea mod list. My mods are RRM piggy v2, AEM CAI, 4g93 mani(ported), soon to be ported tb, RRM headers, 2.25" catback.
I looked at a few galant injectors ive seen two different types. One that looks like the mivec 275cc injectors(i believe it is the same one) and another which resembles the stock lancer injectors. I already know that the mivec ones are too long as i bought some from A2 dammit. Anyways if they look the same i believe they should fit correct? But is there a way i can figure out the impedance and flow rate by looking at the injector? Numbers or such? Thanks

275cc from '99 and '00 galant will work (they are yellow). Also they are found in '00 eclipse. They are both from 2.4L.

Trust me. They will work. I use them. Ask any mirage guy. They are the same size as our injectors, just yellow and 275cc.

There is a flaw. Don't misquote some people.

http://www.club3g.com/forum/faq.php?...F-00105AA41E05

3g eclipse RS/GS = 240cc like some base model, post 99, galant.
3g eclipse GT = 210cc . . . they have 2 extra cylinders.
Unknown on the GTS . . . look the site.

As for the galant, it has to be the 3.5 or 3.8 liter motor . . . I haven't looked at them.

Also, there is a possibility of confusion of 275cc from the pre-99 galant, which is probably the wrong impedance.
