ECU Swap...

I did my searching around and i can't find a solid answer. i just wanted to know if the 04 5 Spd. OZ ECU can be SAFELY be swaped into my 06 d Spd. OZ? reason for this is because, i called TACTRIX today and i got bad news about their cable NOT being compatible with the 06 OZ sooooo.....i came to this conclusion about swaping the 04 ECU for ECUFlash and going on a tunning frenzy.

me and my 2 friends tunes cars so we should have a lot of fun. AND i don't want to hear any replies saying that this is a waste of time or some other bull****. i want to tune my car and do it cheap. all i need is a solid answer, and if you want to prove it, PLEASE do.

my friend works at redline and i can get the ECU for 40 bucks....so i'm very curious. any answers would really help. thanks guys.

They probably said NO to the '06 cuz they hadn't tested it on one yet. Probably only had experience with '02 through '04/'05... Tell they you'll be their guinea pig! LOL

i know, might as well. tactrix came out with such a break through for the base lancers and they can't even confirm with the years we "paying customers" ask. oh well.......i'll just buy it and hope for the best.
