ok......i drove it around.......it's idling high, at 1100 rpms when it should be around 500-600 . When i turn off my car, i can still operate the power windows and the sun roof, lol whcih i find odd, i hope it doesn't drain the battery. I'm going to recheck my wiring and see if if i can do a better job

When I first installed my piggyback from RRM when I was N/A I had the cel come on after 10-15 mins of driving it. Do you have a testpipe or headers, if so try to extend the 2nd o2 sensor and it should go away. Or at least it did with me.

If it helps, my cel light goes on every now and then since my piggyback reflash. All and all it isn't anything to worry about just make sure you check your codes.

yeah all i have is CAI, crank pulley and piggy back. No exhaust or header. Um i drove it around, i think it's running rich cause i can smell a little gas, i double checked my wires.......the black wire connecting to the black wire on the ECU was loose, actually really loose, i just tapped it and it came off so i resodered that sucker on there. I'm resetting my ECU so i'm waiting a few minutes till i turn everything on. I'll probably just have the code checked either at pep boys if i have time, or when i go to my auto classs.

i'll keep u guys informed if anything else happens

sounds like a connection problem. My piggy definitely did the same thing with cel and idle because of 1 faulty connection. As for the window life after death, I don't know. Good luck and call Rock in the morning.

I can roll my windows up and down for like a minute after the car is turned off. That's supposed to do that. I've had 2 Lancers and they have both done that. It's kinda like a convenience thing. But, it should stop working as soon as you open the door I think.

P.S. I don't have the piggyback...I'm just talking about normally/stock

Didn't you have a CEL after installing your intake? Or was that just a weird smell? Could be from that. I'm guessing you have the V2 Piggy. I had the V1 and didn't have this problem. Also, the window thing is normal. It's set for like 45 seconds or something, or until you open your door. It's like how the headlights turn off automatically if you take your key out then open the door with them still on.

No i didn't have a CEL after i installed the intake. it was just the wierd smell. I just got dont rechecking my wiring and everything is right as the instructions say. i'm resetting my ECU right now, it started idling at 750 rpms.......but then went back to 1000 and the CEL came on again

ok quick update......i started my car today......and the first 10 seconds it was idling wierd, kept jumping up from 500-1200 rpms.......and if i pressed in the gas pedal, i could smell gas so i'm guessing it was dumping in way too much gas it could burn off.

I did bend a little bit of the honey combs on my MAF.......that could be it, but i'm taking my car down to RRM when i get a chance maybe drop by pep boys and have them read the CEL code.

Im having the same problem. check out my thread. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=253474
i called RRM today and they told me to check the connections. so i did, reset the ECU and did the 10 min idle and 20 min drive. when i pulled my codes it was saying a misfire, but i also checked each plug with the scan tool at school, and every one was fine, so it was a phantom code. good luck with your problem, ill tell you if mine goes away.

and about the windows working after you turn the car off, its supposed to do that, like eehjay and kfos01 said, its a convenience

So i took my car down to RRM yesterday and gabe told me i had mixed 2 wires. I was sure i had done it right but apparantly i was wrong. Thanks to rrm for their help, i fixed the wires then and there, using their tools , which they were pretty cool about by the way. So yeah, everything is all good, no CEL and the car is running lean and mean
