RRM PB help

So i got my piggyback yesterday and put it in just like the instructions from RRM said. Turned the car on and wasnt alarmed by the reving and let it idle for 10 mins. then drove it around coutsously only going about 25-35 mph. after driving around for a solid 20 mins i turned it of. last night i probably drove it 45mins. when i wake up this moringing at 10 am i turn my car on and my Check Engine Light comes on. notghin was wrong with the car, it drove fine but the light was still on. Any input on what is going on???

go down to a autozone or something, have them read the code for you. the piggyback shouldn't trigger a CEL.

just got back from Advanced autoparts and they pulled the codes. its saying one of my cylinders is misfiring. i bought fuel cleaner for a buck and added that hoping it would clean my injector. could the misfire be the PB sending the wrong timing or just wear and tear on the spark plugs.

It might, emphasis on might be, just due to the relearn. Have you tried to reset it? It might go out and not come back. Wouldn't hurt to try.

Probably a phantom misfire code. The car tends to have to "relearn" how to idle after the PB. A rough idle can accidentally signal a misfire code. You should be fine.

make sure your wires going to the cylinders and the coil packs aren't touching anything, too. i had a misfiring issue when one of my wires... cylinder 3 i think... was touching the vacuum line going to the PCV. this was causing the wire to arc and me to get a misfire.

the PB could be one of the easiest things to install. there is a thread out there on How too's that is stickied. and it is great. only part i didnt understand was getting the glovebox "stopper out" then i realiezed i had to pull it twords me and it poped out. i didnt soulder my connections. when i bought it from Kareem(who was really helpfull, sending me everything needed) he included some clips that i placed the two wired into that i wanted to crimp and i just pushed the clip together with plyers and it seemed fine. when you guys mean try it again, should i just unplug the harnesses to the ECU and plug them back in and let it idle and do the driving for 20 mins?

Good news. i just unplugged the harnesses to the ECU and plugged them back in. i started the car and there was no CEL. so i have to let it idle for 5-10 mins and drive for 20 mins. the one question i have is how should i drive. on the directions it says coutiosly. im planning on just going around my area and not let the RPM go to far(im guessing past 4k)
