True. It doesn't bring up a code. I have had it since almost right when it came out. Not soldered and no check lights to date.

Using connectors are fine but you cannot be assured of a perfect connection. As for the piggy, it ROCKs period. Better performance, better mileage and no CEL issues. Only a couple isolated ones but for the dozens of piggys, it is safe to say a properly installed piggy has no real issue cause by it.

It's alot easier to do the wiring if you take the battery and the ecus out of the engine bay. You get a larger work space and definately less of a pain trying to tape and cinch everything down. Plus I pulled off the plastic connectors on the wiring harness to pinpoint wires and partially hid the install.

I threw in there my installation of blue reverse lights and Door sills

ENJOY

The car turn'd on fine, no codes as of yet, idle is fine. everything appears to be good install. i made sure i got good connections and crimp the wires very tightly .
I will find out tomorrow about some gains. I don't think i will feel anything due to me not driving hard.

Thanks for all the help from everybody else to answerd my questions THanks.

Make sure you disconnect the battery to allow the ECU to "reset".

It's usually a good idea. But if it's not in the instructions, I guess it's not mandatory.

Negative terminal, yes.
You'll lose your radio settings. Not sure about Bluetooth.

well in my eclipse if i take off the negative for like 20secs i wouldn't lose none of my radio settings but the ses lights would shut off which means it reset the ecu. So i might just do a 20 sec disconnect it won't do no harm

i dissconnected the negative about 1hr before, i dissconected it for about 20 secs like i said, only thing that happened to my electronics is that they updated themselves back to my settings. So far im very very not impressed with the piggy and have felt no difference from stock but thats just me.
