how old are your plugs, and what type of plugs are they? i got misfires with NGK iridium IX plugs... i hated those in my lancer. V-powers are the way to go.

check to see if any of your wires are cracked... i had one of mine that cracked (most likely because i was screwing with it) and i replaced it with a spare boot and wire from my friend's mother's eclipse.

before yo go out and get new coils give everything a good once-over. get some V-powers, put those in... and get some of that dielectric grease. put some on the spark plug threads, and a little in the boot. hopefully some or all of this crap does the trick for you.

i got some NGK BKR7E-11 plugs. gapped to .44.
i just put them in, only got like 300 miles on em

i know before i remapped my piggy i was having ignition troubles, my car was starting but then just stalling out when the engine was hot. I will give everything a once over, but the chances are my coilpacks and ignition wires are shot.

this all started when i put in a new battery.

might have been some kind of power surge... it's a long shot, but it's possible. i've seen everything in a computer get fried because there was a surge directly from the PSU.

HOPEFULLY there's just an issue with either the spark plug wires/boots or the wiring to the coils. are you still getting the random misfire code?

yeh thats what i figured. that the old battery had low power and then when i put the new battery in it probably surged the system with higher power.

i still have the code and i'm gonna have the dealership replace the coils & wires under warranty

if they'll do it under warranty: why the hell not!

if it's free it's a good excuse to get new pieces when your old ones are going to go sooner or later anyway. let us know if you get your problem under control after the fix.
