Wait to see how long that motor lasts. Power doesn't mean reliability.

yeah, intercooler is the way to go. I figure if we're staying in the <10psi range, you can keep the stock bumper with an intercooler, but more than 10psi, plan on max airflow with a large opening?

As far as future mods, yeah the bored TB and IM from RRM are on the list. I figure with the stainless exhaust mani I'll probably end up fabbing a turbo manifold from that using stainless....I hate the look of non-stainless exhaust. If I could afford to get it all ceramic coated, I'd do it

Has anyone tried a supercharger on the 4g94 that was worth a damn? My other thread talking about the dual turbos peaked my interest about this, but I figure you'd have to do all new internals for the motor in order to gain enough initial horse out of the motor to drive the supercharger... Just a thought, I'm definitely leaning more towards a turbo as it's more efficient...

I take it this motor's nothing like an old-skool chevy as far as being able to bore out the cylinders and using oversize pistons...

10 PSI isn't that much, my car runs more than that stock and it has a tiny top mount for god's sake. The intercooler you'll be using for 7 PSI will be fine for 10+.
The only supercharger kit was the RIPP kit and it was discontinued because it failed to perform. The motor can spin the supercharger just fine as long as you don't over do it.
It's a 2.0 L motor that's been made by boring out a 1.8 L motor, it can't be bored anymore and it's not that strong to begin with.

cool. thanks for the info. as far as boost goes, what's the next increment of mods needed to go past 10psi? Like, what would be the next mod to the motor...camshaft, pistons, etc? And what would be the relative increase possible in boost potential?

I'm trying to weigh all options here to see what's possible...I know pistons and rods are pretty $$$$... Or should the pictons, rods, and cam be done at the same time?
