makes sense. Does ecuflash save anything in another folder besides the openecu folder?

Same problem. Is it possible when I started screwing with the def file I messed it up on the car too? Either that or EcuFlash is still retaining memory some how...

it is not possible, i had the same trouble, and erase the bad definitions was the solution.

be sure to have only one ecuflash installed and delete all folder in rommdata and only leave the lancer folder with lanceratbase and your definition

I've seen definitions show up in the "mitsubishi" directory above "lancer." Look there and remove any definitions that you may have created.

Ok I got it to work on my XP machine but all the values are screwy... My car died on me while driving though Has anyone actually tried using EcuFlash while the car was on? I'm guessing it killed it...

You cannot use EcuFlash while the engine is running. You need the engine off and the key in the 'on' position. You can cause some serious damage if the engine is running and you flash your ECU.
