Evoscan Issues

While I finally got EcuFlash to work without any problems on my laptop so I downloaded EvoScan to start tuning.

The problem is, I throw errors when I go to open the program. It is the latest version v2.5 and here is a picture of the message:
EDIT:So I just had to run the program as an administrator so issue fixed, new problem on post 3

Ok got that fixed, new issue.

It doesn't seem to be logging anything. It says that it is but I don't see anything happening...

i had the exact same problem, except i cant get ecuflash to work for some reason. I re-installed evoscan when I got that error and it ended up working fine. as for ecuflash... i got all the master definition files downloaded and saved to the proper places, but it still says theres no definition for my car. which is bs.

Well that error is gone now. EvoScan opens up, runs, and clears codes. It just can't read codes or log for some reason... It say's it has a connection but nothing happens.

EcuFlash on the other hand works perfectly fine.

Which Ecuflash are you useing...? Becouse you need to be using ver. 1.29 for the lancers. The newer versions i've had trouble getting to work.

What you have set for your baudrate? Mines setting at 15625.

I used to tell everyone the same thing. I'm currently using v1.41 and haven't had any problems reading, flashing, etc.

Lots of bug fixes and support for newer vehicles. There were also changes in how the endian values are interpreted in the metadata files. You can read through the revision history here, if you want:

I have both 1.29 and 1.41 on my PC for different cars. It just seems that some versions work better for certain cars then others. Just like I can't read 3G V6 Eclipses on 1.41 but i can on 1.29 for some reason. I'm sure there's a way to get it too work... but straight from the download 1.29 works like a charm on my lancer.
