well mitdu my method won't really work for you since your auto. However for me I do all my tuning pulls in third. I know I will start positive pressure by 2500 and so I make sure that by that rpm I am down to around 12.5-12.0 afrs then by 3000. I am down to 11.5 then slowly taper down to 11 by about 6000

its all good! Ok, well im sure i can make it work somehow, i was cruising around it was at 15.2 AFR, i like how it doesnt sweep really just stays at a spot thats nice.

Hornstar, those settings did not work for me unfortunatly the car seemed to "flood out" i cranked it while cold for a good 7 seconds and nothing, i left the key on and the wideband read 10.0 AFR for about 8-10 min before it read all the way lean again, so i dont know if it just wont work, or if i need to adjust it? Also took some more logs in forced open loop as well, i made some adjustments to fuel and timing, im getting less knock now

Do i need to change any other scaling in the "startup" section in order for 03lances settings to work maybe?

I don't think any other changes should be necessary, as long as you are using the scaling from my picture. So, you put it back to where it was and then the car did start correctly, just with the few seconds hesitation then? I will take another look at the rest of the starting stuff, send me your most recent rom/xml.

I wonder if there is anyway to sweet talk one of our resident disassemblers to find those cranking tables in mitsu's stock ROM?

Hell...that's kinda my whole point in "trying" to learn to disasemble, no luck yet....but if we could see cranking and knock settings it'd solve a whole lot of questions, and probably keep most people safer on the road! I think Roadspike is all but gone since his Evo was sold....still, I'll continue to try and learn, but if someone knows or would look, yeah, would be freakin awesome. I totally agree with you.

Yeah basically after a couple times of cranking for 6+ seconds, i ended up changing it back to my old scaling and values, and after a few seconds or so it started up, and i just sent the XML/ ROM buddy

Yeah im not sure what happened, but i could smell the gas, it must have just been too much fuel vs air, the wideband stayed 10.0 for a good 8-10 min or so before it eventually read lean, prob cuz all the gas evaporated. It does suck starting it when its warm, it just takes a while for it to start up. How would you guys find the cranking table in the ROM?

Yeah, im confused on what to do to get it to crank easyer, hornstar i took logs of me cranking it with 03lances settings, and with me cranking it with the stock tephra settings, maybe you will be able to pick something out? ill post them tomorro, i lost my flash drive so i need to buy a new one. and BTW i have a HUGE exhaust leak, my downpipe bolts are loose, so ya, that i think would throw off my wideband tomorro im going to install the serial cable for the wideband (thanks hornstar ) and fix my D/P, and tune literally ALL day, so if you guys need me to test anything for you or anyhthing LMK! Ill be on periodically posting logs and what not.

Thank you steven121 for making this thread! I've starting my build and this looks like a good way to go. This page will help a lot with the tuning instead of going to everyones build and reading up on all the issues yall have had. Although I'm going to do that anyway since this thread doesnt include all of the previous issues you all have run into. Quick question though. Where did everyone get their turbo mani? SpeedCorps? And what all laptops are you all using? I assume you all are using the tactrix cable and ecuflash?

yeah I noticed that in your tune, do you think im going to rich down as I progress down the map? Im thinking about leaning it down a few points and see how that makes my map look

can anyone else set their knock thresholds to 0, so that ALL knock gets recorded and tell me if you get a big round spot of knock around 2250-2500 rpm? I am not sure if it's the tune or not, but just to cause some excitment and danger, if you've left the tephra rom stock, the threshold for knock is virtually unreachable by us in the lower RPM's...I don't think I could hit 160 load at <3000 rpm if I wanted to.

And Mitsu, did you try changing from big endian or little endian, whichever it is and then pasting those cranking values in again? I don't know which way is correct on yours, because that dang endian thing is confusing! Don't shoot me if something goes wrong though.

Hey hornstar are you plotting those knock counts on evoscan using the maptracer? Man I love that thing...
