starting to mod my ES

I have a 2011 lancer ES, i want to start modding her. Im looking to make it a little louder, but not too loud. I want to put some black rims on her also.

What exhaust would sound good with a auto and not too loud?

any black rims you guys recommend for not too much money?

Thanks guys.

Greddy seems to be the most popular at the moment. But Borla seems to be gaining a lot of steam.

Can't say that I've seen a single tenabe yet.

For most, the Greddy TIC and the others are too fart can "rice".

i have a custom HKS on mine, and i honestly think its the best sounding i've heard on a lancer other than one other one. the tone is just so deep and natural. i get a lot of times that it sounds like a 350z. but its not too loud, but yet its not too quiet. and i have the CVT.

Sounds pretty legit, but if you're not looking for custom I agree with evo soul. Greddy SE sound is perfect.

And this is coming from someone who was terrified of buying a ricer exhaust. I did my research, and the SE was very popular so I bought it. I guarantee you wont be disappointed.

Greddy se I have heard great things about. It us a great axel back that sounds great!

What other mods are you looking into? May I recommend at least a cosworth drop in filter (oil free) or intake system?

As for rims, check out tire rack or tires. Com. Usually even a local tire shop chain will somtines be willing to price match what they have. Lose some of that unsprung weight with lighter wheels abs liwer profile tires and your lancer will quicker, brake shorter and handle slightly better. If you live in an area that doesn't have pothes (not Boston) you could get some lowering springs for a small drop. Good luck!

The greddy ti-c isn't bad either! Not too loud, but it's got nice deep sound when you step on the gas. I think greddy has the exhausts that could be easily installed overall. The aftermarket exhausts are a lot lighter than the stock too.

Why do you want to make your car louder for no reason?

I'm not trying to knock your goals or anything. It's just curiosity.

This isn't really directed at you either, it's just a question I have in general.

In my opinion, the stock exhaust simply sounds terrible. The aftermarket exhausts and intakes do make your car louder, but the exhaust itself makes your car sound cleaner and bolder. It's just my preference that Lancers should sound more aggressive than a civic.

I'm looking at getting an 08 Es-Sport myself and have been looking into what exhaust i'll want, and, I can't speak out of experiance but, it appears that the borla doesnt sound too bad.

I was watching the clips on the website and it sounds like it gives it a throaty sound.

But remember, I can't speak out of experience, just from looking around.
