better mpgs on the cheap!
s i have a 03 lancer oz, i was getting 20mpg, then i seafoamed it and am getting between 25-30 now
. i mostly drive the freeway right now so i porbably get 25 in city. .i was wondering what would increase this even more? i dont drive to crazy that often but i still want to be able to keep up with those dame civics out here lol! \
i was thinking of the rrm piggyback, cat back exhaust and CAI. would headers help mpg at all?
anything else anyone out there can think of?

It's hard to get much more then 33 mpg on the interstate out of our cars, even less if your car is a auto trans.
That being said;
A CAI or a RAM intake either one will increase it a little.
A cat-back and a header will as well.
A high flow cat will also.
A RRM light weight crank pulley will also and in my opinion is the first mod everyone should do, wakes the car up!
A good tune will make a big difference too.
The best way to get faster and get better mpg also is to reduce the weight of your car.
Take things out you don't need and such.
I believe it's about 1 mpg for every 100 pounds.

From what I've heard the problem with the piggyback is that you have to reset your ECU every week. I was looking into buying one myself but after reading what others experience with it I decided not to.

Anyway, the pulley will increase your mpg right away but also read this thread:
