OZ Help!

I bought a 02' OZ rally, and I love the chassis and handling, but was disjointed in the hp. I dont want a street racer if I spend alot of money I would just get a new car, but This was in my price range for now. I just want to ask how to add about 50-70 hp if possible for just a little more pull in the tight mountain curves that I love were I live.

Turbo the motor I'd say. How much HP can you gain from adding a turbo, Green? At least 20?

20? Lol do it right like Steven or 03lances & you're looking at 220ish hp/tq. I'm trying to get like those guys.

Sounds like 1k is too much $ for this guy to invest in the lancer. I say just do suspension work and sit down and at it because it's the best... going... today. WOOO!

tuning...you can throw money at an N/A motor with all the bolt ons out there, but i would be surprised if you could gain 50hp with $1000...turbocharging will yield the best gains...but it will cost you...

Without minimum dohc head swap with a ton of supporting mods I would be very suprised if he gained 50 hp otherwise

Try like 2 HP per $1000 spent. 50 HP for $1000 would be amazing, like, almost the best power gain per dollar spent out there. NA is not a good route for the 4G94 Lancer. You'd be lucky to gain 30, maybe 35 HP with a lot of mods.

ouch green :-p no love here? I think mine is the highest hp/tq dyno'd stock block. In re: to the OP, go with suspension unless your ready to drop at least 2k into the car for turbo to get that 70+hp.

Nice I just figured out a rough estimate on mine. for my entire kit and with what I am pushing it cost me roughly $18 per whp but I bought as many used parts as I could find. I think I am going to use that now when people talk to me about my car lol.

nice, right now i'm only running 8psi on a 14b, and made 213whp on a mustang dyno, the nice thing is that increasing boost is almost free That and i'm swapping the compressor wheel and housing for that of a big 16g which will make more power with the same amount of boost, but i would like to go for 10 maybe 12 pounds of boost.

I also built my own kit and used a lot of second hand parts...with tuning was about $2,000 just the parts was just over $1,500...
