You could always go the cost effective route and put a 50-60 shot on the car.

There is something to be said about a cleanly installed wet nitrous kit. I had a B16 in an integra I owned a few years ago with a cleanly set up ZEX kit, and it worked very very well.

?? I dunno if that was directed at me?? If people are turbocharging a stock lancer engine and making 200+whp... Nitrous is just as safe if installed properly.

I assume you dont know how Nitrous works?

When nitrous oxide is used the nitrogen and oxygen split, making more oxygen available during combustion. A "wet" kit means that there is a Nitrous solenoid, and an addition fuel solenoid in the injection point to compensate for the additional oxygen coming in. ALSO when nitrous vaporizes, it cools the intake air temperature drastically which we all know makes the the air more dense, meaning more oxygen, meaning more combustion.

Thanks for assuming people who have been on this forum longer than you have are idiots . Nitrous on a Lancer is a bad idea. This is well known at this point.

... I didn't assume anyone on here was an idiot...

Just that they may not know how nitrous works thats all. If a stock lancer engine can handle 200+ whp from a turbocharger, is there something internally in the engine that just doesnt take nitrous well?

I have had experience with nitrous, and Ive never heard of an engine that can take turbo abuse not being able to handle nitrous?

Of course you did, you took it upon yourself to explain how nitrous works, as if people had no knowledge of it .

Part of the problem with nitrous is the heat and the violent hit of the power. It isn't like a turbocharger that builds somewhat gradually. Even with a turbocharger, you are limited in how much power you can run on the stock block. Most people start swapping out the internals around the 200 whp mark, if not out of necessity, out of safety.

I also built my own kit and used a lot of second hand parts...with tuning was about $2,000 just the parts was just over $1,500...
Second hand is the way to go unless your rich . I figured for my initial setup was about $2250 and that included gauges, clutch, injectors, full exhaust and of course the turbo components.

+1 I am just waiting to hear that unsettling boom lol. I have a spare vehicle though so if I did blow my engine no big deal just drive the other rig for awhile why I get another engine and build it .

Use the search function. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/la...ncbs-turn.html

If you go under Lancer Aftermarket Forced Induction *coughTURBOcough*, you will find all the information you need.

Like These guys said, TURBO. But, if your like me and have little money to spend then go with a Cold Air Intake, Headers, Custom Exhaust, maybe some Cams. That's all I can think about..
