Anyone have experience with acetone as a gasoline additive?

I have been looking online for ways to increase gas mileage for my 02 Lancer OZ, and have seen Short Air Intake, Cat Back, Headers, and a few others on the forums. But i heard about adding a ratio of acetone to a tank can help improve engine performance and add some gas milage.

Anyone have any experience with adding acetone? Or have first hand knowledge of damage, positive experiences, horror stores, about this additive?

Thanks

P.S.
I have a N/A 02 Lancer OZ

This is a link i found while researching this topic. This is interesting... This guy had a 400% increase in gas milage in his 85 T-Bird. Factory MPG was 22, he got 89!!

Oh lord, i will keep researching but this seems like a missing link in the fuel economy department!

EDIT:
Another link i found, seems using the same technology as drag racing (cool air intake idea) it increases MPG if a constant cold air intake could be reached. Interesting...

EDIT EDIT:

Video at bottom explaining how he achieved this effect.

Guy says 1oz per gallon is too high but then says he got 89mpg with 1.25oz per gallon.
I call fishy.

I dont know about those claims, but I have seen shops use it to help cars pass emissions tests.

Update: I have been using 93 Octane gas (Hess and Sunoco) and Acetone, (1.25 oz per 10gallons) for about a month now. I did a log of unadulterated gas milage, i averaged 30.12 mpg highway and 27.52 mpg city over a course of 1 month since originally posting. I then took the car to the mechanic and had a once over, all was well, nothing that could be considered abnormal, and today got the car back after another check, and have the ability to say acetone did no damage to any portion of the car, fuel lining, or engine internals. But I did finish with a average of:

32MPG City
38MPG Highway

Well, I can't say it is all acetone, but I do have to say, this is a N/A 02 Lancer and i was frankly impressed with the results. Obviously Further testing will need to be done and if anyone is willing to try it out, let me know. Maybe we can figure out a perfect formula for our beloved Lancers

ps, gas prices are on the rise, thank god I was saving this past month on gas prices to not complain about them now hahah
