High RPM after replacing the PCV valve

Hi there Lancer experts,

I was hoping some of you could help me with an issue I've experiencing recently. I recently replaced my PCV valve on my 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer ES 5 Speed Manuel and ever since it would idle high (1500+) when cold and when shifting gears the RPM is stuck at 1500+ and does not drop down to normal idle (around 750) until the engine is fully warmed up. I checked the around the PCV valve for any leaks but everything seems fine. Have I missed anything ? Any help would be greatly appreciated
