My PCV valve keeps popping out of valve cover..Why?

I searched, and couldn't find this answer. Might not have used the correct "Search words", but anyway.........

I keep having my PCV 90 degree elbow pop off the back of my valvecover. Upon my "searches" I did see a connection with the Catch cans, and I do have a Greddy one, but took it off, to see if that helped or not-it didn't. The Mechanics at Mitsu were told of it a LONG time ago, and I thought they fixed it, but when I looked at the back of the valve cover, they JB welded it in place! It doesn't happen while in tons of boost, it can happed if I just drive around with no/minimal boost. I pull over, it is working its way out. Anyone know why? It has been happening for a long time, and I am getting tired of having to "reconnect" it. Is there a simple answer, solution to this? Do I need a new PCV valve? Would a defective working PCV valve cause this? How bout if the 2 vaccum lines came off the PCV valve. Would that cause the thing to keep popping off the back of the valve cover?

Thanks in advance for your answers, and NO, I don't think this is happening because I have TOO MANY sticker's on my car either!

The wing creates too much downforce causing the rear to sag and the front to lift. This tilts the engine back about 10' causing your pcv valve to worked its way out.

sounds like you have too much crankcase pressure. Where does you other v/c tube go to. The one that normally goes to intake tube

Or

You shouldnt have had that port and polish job to the pcv valve opening!
These are the answers I love! You might be right!

When the Catch can was installed, one hose went to the drivers side front (on valvecover), and to find out, the other hose went nowhere! It was plugged up with a bolt, and the connector to the stock intake pipe was bare!(Nothing connected to that nipple at all!) I disconected the Catch can, and connected the drivers front nipple on the valve cover to the intake tube nipple. is that right? This problem was there before my catch can install. Not sure if it was there before or after the stroker motor was installed. Can't remember that far back.

Take the pcv valve out and shake it. If you dont hear a rattling then it needs to be replaced. The hose from the front drivers side normally goes to the intake tube. If this was blocked off the pcv valve sounds like it is clogged

It's relatively inexpensive to replace the PCV valve along with its rubber grommet seal with new factory pieces. If you feel that you need any further personal counseling or guidance you can send me a PM.

I will check if I met my deductable yet, then I will pm you for more counselling! Thanks sparky.

I don't shake the end of the hose, (no urinal jokes please) I shake the PCV correct? which is located on the throttle body? Close to the firewall? Would a bad/plugged up PCV hose, cause it to pop out of the valve cover?

Smoke: The rubber grommet sometimes becomes oil soaked or looses it's tight grip on the PCV valve over time, due to heat degradation and oil saturation. I,ve had to replace the PCV valve and grommet on my Evo before, so I can understand what you're going through at a time like this.

What Grommet? Isn't that a claymation dog from England? I will check for a Grommet, and replace the PCV valve as well, and let you know. Thanks.
