I had a LONG response written and I closed the browser by mistake because I'm at work.

My response regarding time remains the same. TOO MANY VARIABLES. If you wanna guess HP that's one thing, but times are entirely too dependent upon entirely too many factors.

I'll retype the response later. I'm really pissed right now.

since you have an auto you do not have a clutch or flywheel. also since oyu are getting the turbo, dont get the aem cai bc the turbo kit comes with an intake already and the aim isnt compatible anways.

st2 is 1200, but i suggest trying to get all your parts used from respoected ppl bc you ca buy nearly everything used and save a bundle like i have.

dont get the magancore wires, they really arent needed and would jsut bea waste of money.

the greddy catback exhuast is only 2.25 inches and a 2.5" system owuld be better, look into buschurs exhuast or jsut get one custom made at a muffler shop.

dont get the auto piggyback bc it is for a nonturbo lancer and the stg2 turbo setup coems with a turbo-compatible piggyback.

rods and pistons are not necessary for the stg2 setup at 9psi. if you want to boost more tahn the set 9psi, then you will need the pistons first to boost up to 12psi i believe, abouve that you will need the rods too.

if you are going to get the boredout throttle body also get the bored otu intake moanifold, they will both help your lowend power. there is also a core exchange for them so you can get soem money back.

hope this helped, you can still ask more specific questions.

Mike, you said everything I had typed up only with less in-depth explainations of why and why not. I also commented on the spark plug wires, exhaust, and throttle body that he'd be foolish to pay for someone to install it.

You'd better know what you plan on getting yourself into, mech. The more aftermarket parts you have the more responsibility you put on yourself for maintaining the car, and you have to be prepared to handle it all. Whether it's a month or a year down the road, you will have some sort of problems. That's not a comment on the quality of products or installs, it's simply the nature of the beast.

A lot of research. That's a huge investment financially, mechanically and emotionally.

i assume you are talking about rrm's turbo: all you would need to do is buy the rrm stg1 intercooled turbo kit, then the rrm stg2 upgrade, and the rrm headers.

I just wanted to say since he has an auto, if he is serious about all this. He should also look into an upgraded torque converter. And honestly almost everything you can install yourself, the only thing ive had installed so far was the catbak exhaust but thats because i didnt have a torque gun, But i did spend all day under the car with a wrench! so atleast i tried it just takes time, and you'll be beter off in the long run cause ull understand everything beter!

i wouldnt suggest he install any of the stuff until he learns a lot more. even when he does, i would jsut have a shop do the rods and pistons and lsd.

And don't make the mistake my poor brother did when he upgraded his car with turbo (11psi), pistons, rods, lsd, and new goodrich tires which was doing it all at once, getting in his car, slamming the gas and giving himself whiplash because the aftermarket lsd's are so tight it'll pull your car like you wouldn't believe. Gotta love him, he's family
More on topic: Like everyone else said, you should really look into all of this stuff and I recommend finding people around your area who work on their car and asking them questions and asking if you can hang out when they do stuff to their cars (I learned ALOT that way, even though it's on different cars the basic principals and most of the methods are the same on 4-6 banger imports). One thing that will make alot of differnce as well is getting a manual instead of an auto. From what I've seen of people's time slips, I've seen as much as 1+ seconds of difference between auto and manual claiming the same upgrades. I know "get a new car" is never what you want to hear but it's not like this is a big difference, plus manuals are cheaper than autos so you might even get some money BACK.
