Headers?????
Headers?????
ok guys everyone this smart *** kid where i live is telling me that dc sport headers is the only way to go with headers because it will give you the max horsepower a header can give, is this true for my 03 lancer es? I was thinking kamikaze or something else. Maybe you guys can give me the details on specs with headers for my car and i can decide. Thanks.
Last I checked, RRM, RPW and Kamikaze were our only header options. No DC.
Can I guess that he has a Civic? Since DC makes tons o' parts for Civics.
And yes, he's probably rather narrow-minded. Not to knock DC, but I do not consider them the #1 tuner company in the world. The strut tower bar they make for Lancers that doesn't actually fit Lancers is a fine example.
Hectik - what would you call a Lancer? Aren't we essentially rice rockets as well? Definitely not domestic...

Edit: And yes it does come with the DP
when i was at sema i asked dc if they planned on making a header for the lancer (they make a full cat-back exhaust, and they are expanding to a lot of different cars so i thought i'd ask). they said NO. they didnt want to mess with the first "cat", because of emissions and such.
anyways. like everyone said kamikaze, rrm, and rpw make a header for our car.

I have to second OZrallyats. I see this all the time. I would have to agree that when it is one part it is a Header. You would not use the plural form of the word until there were multiple parts making up the Header assembly. I don't know of any inline engines that have more than one header. One would typically see the use of two headers in a V type of engine configuration. This seems to me a misstatement even more common when people refer to the engine in there car as a V4. Not to say that such a thing can not exist, but I have yet to see a V4!
And similar to most other threads, this will quickly degrade so I'm closing it.
Your options are RPW, RRM and Kamikaze as bsdj stated. RPW has the highest dyno proven gains that I've seen so far, however if you plan on going RRM turbocharged later on, you should only be thinking of RRM's header. Kamikaze is a good bang for the buck, but by no means the best.
