Question about the Intake Manifold

I bought my car off a lot, so I have no idea what mods the original owner did.. However, I have a red powder coated intake manifold.. Do the 2002 O-Z Rally lancers come factory with this or do I have a new manifold? thanks in advance!

Unless they just felt like powdercoating the manifold, I'm with kareem. That'd be too much of a coincidence that the manifold happens to be powdercoated the same red that RRM does most of their parts.

awesome thanks! I'll post one today! Thats what I was thinking.. Who in the world would go through all that trouble just to paint the manifold red.. Hopefully its the rrm.. that would be pretty awesome.. Heres a question though, how long has RRM been making that ported manifold?

well, its dirty, but it looks like it to me. You can't powder coat that while its on the car so it would be stupid to take it off just to powder coat it. plus, even through the dirt and stuff it looks like the same red as the rrm manifold. all signs point to yes.

99% chance its rrm...that 1% is the stupid factor of someone actually taking it off to paint it. Did your car also have any other mods? that would help too tell...but then again it might not. If you bought the rrm Intake manifold you have to send them your so If anyone with it ever tradded their lancer in you would almost have to have kept it on there... if that makes any sense. But honestly i think it is.

The only other two things u can do is, take it off yourself and check. or drive in a regular lancer and compare the two, with the IM on you should feel alot beter pull at the top end.

but if i were you I wouldnt worry too much about it, I think thats pretty cool how you already got it

well it had an exhaust and intake.. I'm pretty sure it had a header too.. The guy seemed to be performance minded based on the interior mods for guages and such.. Awesome Awesome Awesome.. Anyway, how hard would it be take off the intake manifold to tell? I think its awesome that I already got it!
