Alright on the 02-03 model, when looking at the engine, there is a cover-like piece of plastic on the left side of the engine (look in pics if you dont know what i am talking about). Does that cover a pully/sprocket or something. What is it and can i remove it?

that covers the timing belt i believe, and i really think you should leave that on.

 

yeah, leave it, otherwise debris and water could get on the timing belt and fock it up

 

thanks i thought it might be like the evo(cam gears on that side) but i guess not...oh well.

well the cam gear is there, but I still wouldn't suggest removing it

 

Why would you want to take it off anyway?

 

... i dont know....if it looks anything like the evo it is just bad looking

 

doesnt look like anything the evo cam sprockets sorry, actually i took the plastic cover off and painted it red with some high engine heat paint n put it back in... looks pretty cool and its an easy enough thing to do if ur bored one day.
