stock cylinder bore
Hey all. I did a search but couldn't find this:
Whats our stock cylinder bore and stroke?
Where am I going with this? A buddy of mine says he had some 10.5:1 CR pistons installed by a local shop and they sourced the pistons directly from another Mitsu.... but he can't remember which engine.... I'm thinking the 2G eclispe.
So if you know the answer to any of the questions, post up!!
Thanks

leave it to me to try reinvent the wheel
What other factors do I need to take into consideration when looking at pistons?
Pistons for the B-16 engine that are 0.5mm over are the 81.5 that we're looking at
Someone please take a look at these and give me some edumacation

Beacuse $800 is RIDICULOUS for 10.5:1 CR pistons... I can get the same from RPW for about $450. Yeah, you're gonna tell me they're hypereutectic or whatever, but since no one in their right mind will try to boost on 10.5:1 what's the point? Sorry.... I've just been meaning to get that off my chest since I saw the start of that thread.
I'm trying to source something locally, and like I said my friend had pistons from another stock engine instaled in his engine, so I know that there's something out there that will fit our engines.

I know, but wouldn't the engine we get these from also have to have the same valve patterns and what not? 10.5:1 in our car is kinda high and already requires the pistons to be modified for valves, I am just saying that just because it will fit in the cylinder doesn't mean that it will work.
