Question HP Gain on RRM Throttle Body??

I haven't found many true answers on this question. I have the RRM short ram induction, high flow cat, and the magnaflow exhaust. I'd like to get some more horse w/o buying turbo. What can I expect to gain from swapping the throttle body?? I figured the intake, exhaust and cat give me maybe 20-25hp?? is that true? And then the rrm header might give me 15 on top of that??? Help me figure this out.

It has never been dyno'd insofar as I know. Rarely do people use just a tb anyway. Don't expect much, but you'll be widening the second tightest bottleneck in your intake system after the MAS restrictor plate.

i think 15 is a fair guess from what i know for just a throttle bodie but that is with an intake and 20 topps with headers and intake

Is that estimate of 20-25 hp from intake/test pipe/exhaust accurate?

You probably get 10hp all together

With an Intake, Test Pipe, and Exhaust system your probably looking at around 15 - 20 horsies.

I've got the T.B. and it feels a little more "peppy", but like Hobie said, "don't expect much".

All you people with so many questions, if you have real money to spend, either take the leap to get your car to a real strap down dyno, or cough up some cash for a G-Tech or Rev Speed Meter. Conjecture is nice but in the end you're going by the all to unreliable butt dyno. HP does not equal straight math.

If I don't get a G-Tech under the tree or in my stocking, I'm gonna pony up the money and get one myself. At least that will give some rough numbers, albeit not as accurate as a dyno sheet.

i'm going to buy one and then return it.. heh..

hey jc.. I have the header and tb. i'll go out to a test & tune night and tell you how it runs out on the track. as far as dyno. I have to find one in my area. However, I can tell you, with TB, Header, Test Pipe, Exhaust, and CAI. Great gains from stock.

Hey guys.. thanks for all the info. Gives me a little better guess as to what to expect from all the mods. I like making the car better and faster, but cant quite validate 5grand on getting turbo while in college that is 40 grand a year. And can one of you, maybe hobie since he mentioned it, tell me what the MAS restrictor plate is?? And what are people doing about that "Bottleneck"??

sorry, but one more thing..

So, if I cant expect much by doing the TB, why the hell would people switch it out for 300 dollars?! thats a good chunk of change.
